Last week, I was in Salt Lake City where I did my very first bookstore talk/signing at the Kings English Bookstore. There was a really fantastic crowd. I loved every minute of it.
Except I did learn that I’ve been signing my books on the wrong page! I was going for the page with the title and plenty of space. Turns out, tradition calls for signing on the page with the full title and the author’s name. Who knew! I swear – this book business is a mystery to me!
Another first was the live interview I did for the regional NPR station (Talk of the West, click here to listen: takes a little time to load). I was so nervous at the beginning that I could barely eek out a whisper. But as you’ll hear, it didn’t take long to get going. The interviewer, Doug Fabrizio, was incredible.
Next up is New York City.
I’m barely unpacked from the Utah trip…and I’m out on the road again.
After that: I go to LA. Chicago, Madison, Cleveland, Knoxville and possibly San Francisco. And that’s just between now and April 8. Email me if you want more information or have travel tips!
By the way, have you started reading Blood Work? Shoot me an email! I’d love to hear from you.
And if you haven’t picked up a copy yet, what are you waiting for! Plus, remember, the first few weeks are critical to a book’s success…I could really (really!) use your support.
More reports from the road soon!
